Life in the Time of Dorothy

Before the twister, before the famous journey, there was the small Kansas farmhouse of Uncle Henry and Auntie Em. Venture through this authentic 1907 Kansas farmhouse and learn about life as Dorothy would have known it from one of our very own Dorothy tour guides.

From Kansas to Oz and Back Again

Your journey doesn't stop there! Wind is rising on the prairie, and you will soon be carried far away to a mysterious land... the Land of Oz! Visit our walkthrough recreation of the Wizard of Oz story, featuring witches, munchkins, flying monkeys, and one very powerful Wizard.

A Mighty Liberal Place

Before or after your tour, be sure to stop by our free local history museum! Experience a wondrous tale spanning from the 1540 Coronado Expedition to today, full of dueling settler towns, ambitious railroads, the terrifying Dust Bowl, and even an annual international competition all about Pancakes. Find all this and more in the fascinating story of Liberal, Kansas; the town that would one day become Dorothy's home.
